The Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Vuong Dinh Hue will visit Cambodia from November 19 to 23.
Hue will meet King Norodom Sihamoni, Senate president Say Chhum, and Prime Minister Hun Sen, according to the Cambodian NA press release on November 18.
It said Hue will also meet bilaterally with NA president Heng Samrin to strengthen and expand friendship and cooperation between the legislative institutions of the two countries and to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the diplomatic relation establishment between the two countries, defined as the “Cambodia-Vietnam friendship year”.
“After the meeting, the two sides will sign a memorandum of understanding between the Cambodian and Vietnamese NA and between the Cambodian NA general secretary and the Vietnamese NA cabinet,” the release said.
The Vietnamese senior delegation will also lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial Statue of the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk and the Cambodia-Vietnam friendship monument, it said.
