On November 17, national police chief Neth Savoeun met with Williams at the national police general commissariat in Phnom Penh.
Williams highlighted the “good” cooperation between the embassy and the Cambodian national police, according to the Interior Ministry’s Facebook post on November 18.
“Williams expressed his commitment to the Cambodian police in the fight against human trafficking, in particular, the crime of child sexual abuse.”
“He also confirmed the support of both experience and skills training to the national police of Cambodia,” the post said.
Savoeun thanked the UK for providing scholarships to Cambodian national police officers to study in the UK and providing technical materials to fight against technological crime.
He hoped that the two sides would continue to better cooperation.
