2024 Triumph Tiger 900 adventure-tourers upgraded

Promising more power, torque, capability and comfort, the range of 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 adventure-touring motorcycles has received upgrades. There are three models in the range, the Tiger 900 GT, GT Pro and Rally Pro.

Coming with Hinckley’s trademark inline-triple, the Tiger 900 engine receives a major update, including revised engine components. 13% more power is a available over the previous generation triple, with 108PS of peak power and a higher peak torque of 90Nm.

Low end tractability has been improved with the revised engine giving up to nine percent better fuel economy while the quickshifter equipped six-speed gearbox comes with a lighter clutch pull. A new Akrapovic silencer is also available from the official Triumph catalogue for those wanting a better audio experience.

New are the active safety features on the Tiger 900, with enhanced braking using Brembo Stylema callipers for better control and reduced stopping distance. A new emergency deceleration warning system activates the hazard lights when braking rapidly, automatically deactivating when pulling away.

Also new are marker lights that provide a prominent silhouette especially at night and in poor visibility. The Tiger 900 also comes with optimised cornering ABS and traction control with four standard riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport and Off-road.

The Tiger 900 GT Pro gets five ride modes, the aforementioned standard modes plus a user customisable mode. Meanwhile the Tiger 900 Rally Pro gets the previous modes, and adds the Off-road mode Pro which completely disables ABS and traction control.

The seat has been redesigned to enhance long-distance comfort while still allowing the rider to find the optimum seating position. The Tiger 900 seat comes with 20 mm of height adjustability with the Tiger 900 GT Pro and Rally Pro get heated seats and grips as standard equipment.

A new damped handlebar mounting system gives a more comfortable ride, while the handlebar position on the Rally Pro has been moved back by 15mm. This slight reduction in reach improves seated comfort while enhancing rider control and bike agility in the standing position when riding off-road.

For suspension, Marzocchi supplies 45 mm diameter upside-down forks and monoshock adjustable preload and rebound damping for the Tiger 900 GT and GT Pro, with the GT Pro getting electronically adjustable suspension. The Tiger 900 Rally Pro gets manually-adjustable Showa suspension, with 240 mm and 230 mm suspension travel, front and rear respectively.

Coming as standard on all Tiger 900 models is My Triumph Connectivity System with music, phone and turn by turn navigation displayed on the new 7-inch TFT display. For the GT Pro and Rally Pro, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is fitted as standard.

The Tiger 900 GT and GT Pro are available in Snowdonia White as standard, with two premium paint options, Graphite/Sapphire Black, and Carnival Red/Sapphire Black. The Rally Pro is available in Carbon Black/Sapphire Black, with Ash Grey/Intense Orange or Matt Khaki Green/Matt Phantom Black as premium options.
