Cyprus October 2022: Hyundai Tucson best-seller, Dacia Duster #3, registrations edge up 1.2%

According to data shared with us by SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, new car sales in Cyprus edge up 1.2% year-on-year in October to 824 units. This brings the year-to-date volume to 9895 sales, up 5.2% on the same period last year. The Hyundai Tucson (+49%) is up 13 spots on September to lodge a monthly win for the 2nd time this year after last April. It ranks #4 year-to-date like it did over the Full Year 2021. Best-seller last month, the Kia Stonic (+21.7%) retrogrades to #2. The Dacia Duster (+1225%) scores a surreal year-on-year gain to land on the third step of the podium with 6.4% market share vs. 1.3% so far this year. Leader year-to-date, the Toyota Yaris (+231.3%) falls to #4 despite a tremendous year-on-year evolution. The Toyota Aygo/X (+575%), Renault Megane (#8) and Kia Picanto (+75%) also make themselves noticed in the remainder of the Top 10.
